New Mills & District Volunteer Centre have the following opportunities for volunteers.  

Web Admin Volunteer

NMVC – around 2hrs per week

Are you good with computers, a whiz at web design or just looking to improve your skills? NMVC are looking for a volunteer to pick up the running and on-going development of their Web Page using WordPress. Great work experience and skills to add to a CV.  Email Lorna@nmvc.org

Social Media – Twitter – Volunteer

NMVC – 1 hr per week

NMVC have a fantastic following on Twitter, all thanks to an amazing volunteer who is sadly stepping down due to exciting changes at work. This role entails re-posting information from our Facebook and identifying creative ways to raise our profile on Twitter.  Email Lorna@nmvc.org

Lunch Time Volunteer

Youth Matters New Mills – Summer Festival ‘FAMFEST’  2-20 Aug (Mon – Fri only)
Volunteer Help required between 11.30 – 2.00pm to make sandwiches for the children attending the festival, at St George’s Parish Hall New Mills.

Retail Volunteer

Blythe House Charity Shop, New Mills

Retail volunteers support the hospice’s shops in a number of ways: sorting donations, pricing stock, displaying items for sale, managing the till, and serving customers. You can give as little or as much time as you wish – it might be a few hours per week, or a full day or two! Whatever works for you.
